Very stable development: Ivory Coast, Ghana and Senegal are the largest importers of plastics, printing and packaging technology in West Africa – apart from Nigeria
The West African economy is on the upswing and the organisers of plastprintpack West Africa 2017 and its partner event agrofood West Africa 2017 announce many good news around this event.
Figures of VDMA indicate a very stable development for West Africa’s plastprintpack industry
According to the German Engineering Federation VDMA, West Africa imported plastics technology at a value of 142.9 million euro in 2016. Good to know that the major West African markets - apart from Nigeria - are Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal, Togo and Guinea, in this order.
West African imports of printing and paper technology amounted to 121.8 million euro in 2016 compared to 120.0 million euro in 2015, featuring Ivory Coast, Ghana, Guinea and Senegal as the most important importers apart from Nigeria.
And imports of packaging technology to the area made up for 240.2 million euro in 2016 compared to 237.4 million euro in 2015, with Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal, Benin, Togo and Mauretania as main importers apart from Nigeria.
It is on this backdrop that the German trade fair specialists fairtrade Messe announce the 4th edition of plastprintpack & agrofood West Africa to open its gates on 05 to 07 December 2017 at the Accra International Conference Centre in Ghana.
