Rexroth drive & control:Easy work

2016/03/02
In assembly operations, nutrunners tethered to power cords are becoming a thing of the past: The Nexo nutrunner, powered by a rechargeable battery and WIFI-ready makes for easy work even with hard to reach bolts. These include tight spaces inside vehicles, performing overhead work and assembly operations on moving parts. The tool is made of lightweight materials. Its large HMI display,  by changing colors from red to green, clearly conveys the quality result of the tightening operation. Furthermore, the tool documents all the details, such as torque and angle values achieved during the tightening operation. These data are then wirelessly transmitted to a receiving server location. What’s more when operating in an area outside of the network, the data will be buffered on the Nexo’s on-board controller and transmitted once the tool is again within the network. And the data remain stored even during battery changes. The Nexo can tighten bolts up to 65 Newtonmeter of torque and tests have shown these tools to sustain 500.000 tightening operations without need for maintenance.
