Plastimagen 2017 is the 21st edition of the show and is held in Mexico City, Mexico  between 7th and 10th November 2017 at the Centro Banamex convention and exhibition centre. This is a truly international event with 14 international pavilions spread over 4 halls and visitors from over 39 countries. The event will feature more the 800 exhibitors and over 30,000 visitors throughout the 5 day event.

Mexico is the third largest automobile manufacturing nation in the Western Hemisphere and the automotive sector accounts for 17.6% of Mexico's manufacturing sector
Mexico is the 4th largest importer of plastics machinery from UK after USA, India and China form the countries outside Europe
Plastic machinery exports from the UK to Mexico doubled between 2014 to 2015
Almost fifty percent of plastic resins currently used by Mexico’s manufacturing sector is imported.  Mexico’s existing production capabilities are unable to satisfy current national demand. Therefore, consuming sectors continue to rely on imports to meet their needs.
Mexico’s plastic manufacturers’ require increased productivity, more high tech machinery will be required.
