DREMA 2018 is the major trade show for the wood industry in Poland as well as for Central and Eastern Europe. The event is a showcase for machines, equipment and related technologies for the entire wood industry, attracting woodworking to furniture professionals. DREMA also host a special zone called the Wood Promotion Pavilion which gathers Polish and international sawmills and specialized wood product manufacturers. Organized by wood industry associations and chambers, it creates a platform for trade and experience exchange with many Polish and international companies seeking new markets for their products, technologies and services. In 2017, DREMA attracted 375 exhibitors from 25 countries showcasing their products to more than 15,000 international visitors in 7 exhibition halls.

Poland is one of major and most dynamic wood production market in the EU with limited exposure to Canadian manufacturers. As such, Poland has a potential of becoming a new export destination market in the EU for machinery/equipment manufacturers and wood products manufacturers.

The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service in Poland plans to use the 2018 edition of DREMA to demonstrate Canadian capabilities in the forestry and wood products sectors with a booth featuring the Canadian companies interested in the Polish market. Upon requests, B2B meetings will also be organised with key players from the polish forestry and wood industry.
